Our FAQ page provides answers to queries our plumbers are asked regularly by clients about our Albury-Wodonga plumbing services. Contact our friendly team today and they'll be happy to assist you if you can't find the information you seek.
(Q) I'm finding my taps are hard to turn off. Does this mean I should have these replaced?
(A) No, not necessarily. Whether your taps will need replacing is dependent on the quality and the age of the taps. Sometimes your taps may just need servicing. We can assist you with tap servicing or replacement if needed.
(Q) If my cistern is leaking, does this mean I need a new one?
(A) No. With vitreous china cisterns you can replace parts, so this often avoids the need to have to install a new cistern. As plastic cisterns don't have separate parts, it can be more cost-effective to replace the whole cistern.
(Q) I've received an excess water notice from the council, what should I do?
(A) It would be best to call us and have one of our plumbers check to see if you have a leaking pipe, tap or cistern.
(Q) My toilet is overflowing every time it's flushed. What's wrong with it?
(A) No, not necessarily. Whether your taps will need replacing is dependent on the quality and the age of the taps. Sometimes your taps may just need cleaning. We can assist you with tap replacement or cleaning.
(Q) When I have a shower there's water leaking through the adjacent walls. Why is this happening?
(A) This generally means that there's a leak in either the pipework or the waste. By contacting Wade Smith Plumbing we can dispatch a plumber to find and fix the leak for you.
